UPDATE: Route 24 East reopened in Bedford County after vehicle crash

UPDATE 11:40 A.M.: Crews in Bedford County have cleared the scene of Thursday morning’s vehicle crash along Route 24 East, allowing traffic to resume a regular flow.

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Motorists are asked to expect delays Thursday morning because a crash in Bedford County has closed down Route 24 East.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), all eastbound lanes of Route 24 are closed near Mead Valley Road, Meadors Spur Road, and Route 749.

There is no word on the extent of the delays resulting from this vehicle crash at this time.
