LYNCHBURG, Va (WFXR) — On May 21, Randolph College held its Commencement ceremony in Wildcat Stadium, recognizing 95 undergraduates and 24 master’s students.

This year was also the first commencement with the school’s new president– Sue Ott Rowlands, who became president of Randolph College in 2022.

Student body president, Zeinab Elkhansa, reflects on her time at Randolph… from being involved in student government to joining a sisterhood and navigating the Covid-19 pandemic, to her graduation day, standing in front of her peers as they prepare for a new chapter in life.

She shares her message to all students and new graduates.

“Find a group of people where you can protect your peace, stay focused, but also have fun, life’s too short. I mean it’s okay if you don’t have everything figured out, everything happens for a reason, so you know, if you fall, get back up and keep going, that’s what you gotta do,” said Elkhansa.

She encourages her peers to have patience and show thanks to their loved ones as the class of 2023 takes the first steps into their future.
