Police: Woman injured after shooting in Lynchburg on Monday

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Police are investigating after a woman was injured following a Monday afternoon shooting in Lynchburg.

The Lynchburg Police Department says officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Florida Avenue at approximately 2:17 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 20 for a report of shots fired.

When police arrived at the scene, they learned that a car had been hit by gunfire while a woman was inside. That woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries from the shattered glass.
