Police search for suspect after Wednesday crash causes property damage, injuries in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) is looking for a suspect in connection with a Wednesday morning crash.

On Wednesday, Dec. 1 at approximately 11:35 a.m., the department says officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash in the 5000 block of Fort Avenue. The vehicle struck a utility pole after swerving to avoid another vehicle.

The incident caused multiple lane closures, property damage, and minor injuries.

The LPD needs your help in identifying and locating the driver and vehicle involved in the crash. The suspect vehicle is described as a silver SUV, possibly a Mercedes.
