LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating an incident where multiple shots were fired early Sunday morning, resulting in property damage.

At approximately 1:48 a.m. on Sunday, July 17, officers say they responded to the area of 13th and Main Street in Lynchburg after receiving multiple reports of shots fired.

Authorities say there were no reports of injuries at the scene, but a window at Historic Midland Motors at 1222 Main Street was shattered due to gunfire.

According to officials, witnesses told police about two vehicles — a white or silver GMS Sierra, along with a silver, late-1990s model Honda Accord — that were involved in the incident and left the scene before officers arrived.
