UPDATE: 8:10 P.M. LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – LPD says the incident that occurred on Hanover Street September 20, was related to a believed threat reported at that location.
The standoff on the scene lasted for over an hour. Officers eventually determined the threat to be “unfounded” and have now cleared the area.
LPD says the investigation into the call is still ongoing. WFXR News will continue to update you with more information in the future.
