One person flown to hospital following Friday crash along Route 29 in Amherst County

AMHERST COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — State troopers are investigating after a Friday afternoon crash in Amherst County that left one person seriously hurt.

At approximately 1:48 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 26, Virginia State Police say they responded to a single-vehicle crash in the 1800 block of North Amherst Highway.

According to police, the vehicle hit a guardrail and overturned.

Authorities say at least one person was flown to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

This crash is still under investigation.
