BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Fire officials say one person is dead after a moving truck overturned on a road in Bedford County Monday afternoon.

According to the Bedford Fire Department, units were dispatched at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 6 for an overturned vehicle with at least one person injured at the intersection of Big Island Highway and Hurricane Reef Drive.

When crews arrived at the scene, they found an overturned box truck — blocking the entire road — with the occupant trapped inside the truck.
