RUSTBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Rustburg Volunteer Fire Department spent roughly three hours recovering a vehicle that ended up at the bottom of an embankment after a crash on Tuesday, April 19.
Crews were called to the scene on Colonial Highway (Route 24) around 9:30 p.m. When a vehicle towing a small utility trailer went through a fence and down an embankment into a creek.
Two people in the vehicle were not hurt in the crash which was cleared shortly after midnight Wednesday morning and the road was reopened.
