ALTAVISTA, Va. (WFXR) — The National Center for Healthy Veterans is saying thank you to the men and women who have and continue serving the country.

The organization is building 100 tiny homes for veterans experiencing homelessness as well as an equestrian center and wellness center on Valor Farm.

There will also be vocational training for veterans through colleges and universities.

“There have an automatic family that truly cares for them, makes a really big difference. You know one of the things that the government does is they throw money, but they don’t create relationships,” said Ben Carson, former secretary of Housing and Urban Development.

Valor Farm sits on more than 300 acres off of Wards Road. For more information about Valor Farms head to the National Center for Healthy Veterans website.
