Man hospitalized early Thursday morning after shooting, Lynchburg Police say

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — While following up on a report of a shooting in Lynchburg early Thursday morning, police discovered an injured man along Garfield Avenue.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, at approximately 3:10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23, officers responded to the 1300 block of Garfield Avenue for report about a man who had been shot.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man with non-life-threatening injuries from a gunshot wound. The man was then brought to Lynchburg General Hospital.
