LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Police arrested a man on Monday after another man was found shot in Lynchburg early that morning. This was one of five shooting and malicious wounding incidents to take place in the city within a 12-hour period.
According to the Lynchburg Police Department, at approximately 12:20 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 29, officers responded to the 2000 block of Langhorne Road for a report of a malicious wounding.
When police arrived at the scene, they found a man with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. He was then transported to Lynchburg General Hospital for treatment.
The department says 23-year-old De’yon Brown of Lynchburg, was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with malicious wounding, robbery, and use of a firearm in commission of a felony in connection with the incident.
