Man arrested in connection with Lynchburg doorbell camera larceny, police say

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Less than two weeks after a Ring doorbell camera was reportedly taken in Lynchburg, authorities took a man into custody on Saturday in connection with the incident.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, Barry A. Williams was identified as a person of interest in the investigation into this larceny, which took place on Dec. 27, 2021 in the 1400 block of Kemper Street.

The department says Williams was arrested without incident on Saturday, Jan. 8 and taken to the Blue Ridge Regional Jail on multiple outstanding warrants.

“Williams was seen in the area of Candler’s Mountain Rd and Lynchburg Police Department’s patrol was notified,” the Lynchburg Police Department posted on Facebook on Tuesday, Jan. 11. “Thank you to our community for providing information that led to this arrest.”
