(WFXR) — Nearly two weeks after an early morning vehicle fire in Bedford County, authorities announced that a man had been taken into custody on a felony charge.

According to the Bedford County Fire Marshal’s Office, the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office helped track down Kenneth Randall Peters Jr., who was wanted in connection with the vehicle fire from March 26.

Fire officials say Peters was arrested without incident in Campbell County around noon on Thursday, April 7 and charged with a felony count of burning or destroying personal property worth more than $1,000.

“The tips sent through crime stoppers and phone calls to our investigators were invaluable in locating Kenneth,” the fire marshal’s office said in a statement.
