LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Lynchburg is holding its first Haunted Trail through the Hollins Mill Tunnel Friday, Oct. 29 and Saturday, Oct. 30 — and it’s already sold out!

Ticket holders will enjoy over a mile of spooky delight each night from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Thrill seekers will follow a trail that begins downtown along the Blackwater Creek Trail, then loops to Hollins Mill Park through the historic Hollins Mill railroad tunnel.

No gore or human contact will be involved, but there will be monsters, witches, and werewolves roaming the trail.

Although the trail is family-friendly, it is not advised to bring small children that scare easily.

The Haunted Trail will take about 45 minutes to complete. Wagons, strollers, and wheelchairs are welcome, and each tour will be led by a guide.

Following the tour, lawn games, music, food trucks, and s’mores can be enjoyed at Hollins Mills Park while waiting for the tractor hayride shuttle back to downtown.

If you’re interested in volunteering for the Haunted Trail as an actor or tour guide, you can sign up here.
