LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — You can take a tour around the world at Lynchburg’s Fifth Annual International Festival. And this year, you can do it online!

Due to concerns related to COVID-19 and its restrictions, the 2021 International Festival will be a virtual experience.

The virtual trip itinerary includes stops in Latin America, Africa, the Caribbean, and Asia.

Each day, attendees will be visually immersed in traditions specific to that day’s featured region of the world — including food and dance demonstrations by local chefs and performers.

In addition, people who came from different parts of the world, who now call Lynchburg home, will share their stories and experiences.

Attendees will also have a chance to win gift cards to local restaurants and businesses.

To attend the week-long festival, you can visit beginning Monday, Aug. 23.
