Police searching for Lynchburg woman after malicious wounding sends one person to the hospital

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Lynchburg law enforcement is searching for woman following a malicious wounding that sent one person to the hospital Tuesday morning.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of Campbell Avenue for a report of a malicious wounding shortly after 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17.

Police say one individual was transported to Lynchburg General Hospital with a non-life threatening laceration.

Authorities say they are searching 37-year-old Ashley Nichole Shepherd of Lynchburg, in connection with Tuesday’s malicious wounding.
