CAMPBELL COUNTY, VA. (WFXR) — The Concord Volunteer Fire Department says two people were injured in a vehicle crash on March 18.
On Saturday around 9:43 a.m., firefighters received a report of a two-vehicle crash with a person possibly trapped on Richmond Highway. Several crews including Virginia State Police responded to assist with the crash.
At the scene, emergency responders found a vehicle overturned in the median at Thomas Terrace Exxon with two people trapped inside. Crews learned that one person was able to self-evacuate and was not injured.
With the assistance of additional medics, firefighters began rescue efforts and both patients were successfully removed. EMS treated both patients at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries and crews stayed on the scene until the vehicle was towed.
