UPDATE: Boonsboro Road reopened following Lynchburg structure fire

UPDATE 10:34 a.m.: The Lynchburg Department of Emergency Services says the scene of the structure fire in Lynchburg has been cleared and the 5100 block of Boonsboro Road is back open.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Lynchburg motorists may need to seek alternate routes Wednesday morning due to a structure fire along Boonsboro Road.

The Lynchburg Department of Emergency Services says the 5100 block of Boonsboro Road is completely shut down as of 7:56 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 20.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
