Lynchburg Public Library holds shredding event and book sale

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Lynchburg Public Library is holding a shredding event to provide secure document destruction.

This event is for anyone who has personal, legal, and tax papers that need to be shredded. It costs $10 for a large bag or box and staples and paper clips can be left attached.

On Saturday, Oct. 23, 1st Choice Shredding will be at the Lynchburg Public Library at 2315 Memorial Avenue between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

There will also be a sidewalk book sale where discontinued library books will be up for sale or in grab bags with varying prices.

All the money raised during the shredding and book sale will be used to support various library programs and other activities.
