Lynchburg Police searching for man wanted in connection with robbery

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Lynchburg Police Department is looking for a man in his late 50s to early 60s wanted in connection with a robbery at the Wards Road Bank of America on Friday afternoon.

Police received a call shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6 at the Bank of America at 2201 Wards Road. That’s when they say a man took an undisclosed amount of money from an employee before running away.

Police say the man is wearing a mask, a green shirt with a pocket on the left side, blue scrub-style pants, a black necklace, a pink band on his left wrist, an orange on the soles of white/grey shoes, and a dark-colored Army baseball hat.
