Two brought to hospital after Thursday night shooting in Lynchburg, police say

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Lynchburg law enforcement officers are investigating a shooting that occurred at 16th Street and Fillmore Street Thursday night and sent two people to the hospital.

Carrie Dungan with the Lynchburg Police Department says authorities responded to a call of shots fired at approximately 9:38 p.m. on Thursday, May 20.

When police arrived, they found one victim with a gunshot wound, who was then transported to Lynchburg General Hospital.

Authorities say a second victim who had been shot arrived at the hospital later.

No one is in custody at this time, according to police.
