Lynchburg police investigating series of vehicle larcenies and theft

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Lynchburg Police Department is investigating a recent series of vehicle larcenies and a stolen vehicle report.

On Thursday, April 15, the department says it received reports of several larcenies from vehicles and tampering with vehicles in the area of Wessex Road, Lawton Lane, and Averill Court overnight.

Police say they also received a report that a grey Acura TL with Virginia tag VJW-4185 was stolen from the 300 block of Wessex Road.

Authorities say they are searching for a man with long black hair who was wearing a dark-colored shirt, blue jeans, and boots, as well as a woman who is approximately 5’3″ with blonde hair.

Anyone who may have captured video of these incidents on a security or doorbell camera is asked to contact the Lynchburg Police Department at (434) 455-6065 or share the footage on the Neighbors portal.
