UPDATE: No suspect named in McCausland Ridge Apartments shooting

UPDATE 5:50 p.m.: WFXR News received confirmation from Lynchburg Police that they currently have not named a suspect in Monday night’s shooting at McCausland Ridge Apartments.

Police were also not able to provide an update on the man’s condition who was shot in the incident.

UPDATE 4:30 a.m.: Police officers are investigating a malicious wounding that happened at McCausland Ridge Apartments Monday night.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, officers responded to 2075 Langhorne road for reports of shots fired just before 9:30 p.m.

The Lynchburg Police Department thanks the Campbell County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit for their assistance with the investigation.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Police in Lynchburg are on-the-scene of a shooting at McCausland Ridge Apartments.

According to a Tweet from Lynchburg Police, one male has been taken to Lynchburg General Hospital with serious injuries.
