UPDATE 5:15 a.m. (4/18/22): The Lynchburg Police Department shared new details about the three people who were injured in a shooting along Belle Terre Drive Friday evening.

As of Saturday, April 16, police say two of the victims are in stable condition at Lynchburg General Hospital while the third victim was taken to UVA, where they are listed in critical condition.

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Lynchburg Police are investigating after three people were found shot Friday evening.

Offers responded to the Brookside Apartments just before 6:15 p.m. on Friday, April 15. They received a call about a person possibly being shot. When they arrived, officers found three people with gunshot wounds. Police say their identities and conditions have not been released, at the time of this writing.

Police have not released information about a suspect. However, they’re asking anyone with security or doorbell cameras in the area to contact 434-455-6174 or share the footage using the Neighbors Portal.
