LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – The Lynchburg Police Department is asking for help to find a man who, they believe, may have information about a death investigation.

At approximately 5:45 a.m. on April 19, officers say they responded to an apartment in the 1415 block of Kemper Street for a welfare check.

Then, police say they found a 38-year-old man dead in the apartment from apparent medical complications.

During this investigation, police were able to obtain a doorbell camera video of a man leaving the apartment before the tenant’s death.

Authorities are asking for the community’s help in identifying the man caught on the doorbell camera. Anyone with information is asked to reach out to Detective Dubie at 434-455-6102 or Crime Stoppers at 888-798-5900.

Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
