Lynchburg Police arrest man in connection with homicide at James Crossing Apartments

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Lynchburg Police Department announced they have arrested a man in connection with last week’s homicide at James Crossing Apartments.

According to the department, 18-year-old Demijah Kyjaun Spinner of Lynchburg, turned himself in on Tuesday, Dec. 15.

Spinner is being charged with second-degree manslaughter and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in the murder of Wendell Scott Morris. He was also served with an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.

Police continue to search for another individual — 22-year-old James Alexander Hiett of Halifax County — for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
