LYNCHBURG Va. (WFXR) – The Lynchburg Police Department’s patrol vehicles are getting a facelift as they transition to a new vehicle color scheme.

Two vehicles with the new color scheme have hit the streets in the Hill City. The Lynchburg Police Department says as other vehicles reach the end of their lifespan, they will be replaced with the new branding.

“This transition is part of an overall rebranding of the LPD,” Chief Ryan Zuidema said. “These vehicles will be more visible and recognizable by the general public moving forward, while also enhancing the safety of the officers operating them.”
