LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — A Lynchburg family development organization has big plans for the future.
Jubilee Family Development Center in Lynchburg held its first in-person event on Sunday, April 25.
The organization will also hold a virtual fundraiser on Wednesday, April 28. Donations will go towards building a new development center specifically for adult programs.
Executive Director Sterling Wilder says the Jubilee Family Development Center will offer programs like welding, machining, and electronics for adults who are looking to further their education.
“For the adult stage, they can get into a career and partner with places like CVCC so they can get a marketable skill so they can get out of poverty and continue on in life,” Wilder told WFXR News.
The organization just started construction on the new place and it’ll be up and running in about three months.
