LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The Lynchburg Police Department (LPD) says they are investigating reports of suspicious activity of someone passing out anti-Semitic flyers throughout the hill city.

LPD says calls began coming in to report the flyers on Saturday Sept. 17. Residents reported the flyers on yards and driveways in plastic bags weighed down with corn kernels. LPD says there are no threats to the public but wants to acknowledge that the flyers are concerning.

Officers say similar incidents have been reported across the nation recently.

They are asking anyone with security or doorbell cameras to share footage on the Neighbors portal as well as anyone with information to come forward and contact Detective Dubie at 434-455-6102 or Crime Stoppers at 888-798-5900.

LPD says the investigation is ongoing.
