Loose leaf collection to begin in Lynchburg

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – Loose leaf collection will begin for residents in Lynchburg starting on Monday, Nov. 2.

City officials are advising residents to rake leaves along the curb, but not in the street. Crews will vacuum leaves as promptly as possible.

Leaf piles should not contain sticks, rocks and pinecones.

Collection schedules are as follows: (Dates may vary with holidays and weather)

  • Ward 1: Week of Nov. 30
  • Ward 3: Week of Dec. 7
  • Ward 4: Week of Dec. 14
  • Ward 2: Week of Dec. 21
