LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Students at Liberty University participated in a special event on Monday — Martin Luther King Day of Service.

The original event was postponed due to last week’s winter storm.

Students volunteered at several community service events across the Hill City, including Lynchburg Daily Bread, The Salvation Army, and Parkview Community Mission Clothing Center.

This year marked the first time that the university held a service day in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
