LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — After nearly 43 years serving as chairman of the board of directors of BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT), John Fees is announcing his retirement.
According to BWXT, Fees helped grow the company based in Lynchburg to more than 20 U.S. government nuclear sites and national laboratories. He also helped lead BWXT as a standalone public company on the New York Stock Exchange.
“It has been an honor and privilege to work on behalf of the company for these many years,” said Fees. “Our customers and employees will always remain special to me. Jill and I look forward to continuing our involvement in the Lynchburg community.”
Fees’ retirement will go into effect after the 2022 annual meeting of stockholders which is set for May 2022. A new chairperson will be elected on or before the annual meeting.
