Investigation underway after burglary at Bedford County Dollar General

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Bedford County authorities are investigating a Monday night burglary at a Dollar General involving a disabled alarm system.

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office says the unknown individuals were able to deactivate the alarm before forcing their way into the Dollar General at 11490 W. Lynchburg Salem Turnpike in Montvale on Monday, Dec. 20.

The individuals then took a large amount of merchandise from the store, officials say.

According to the sheriff’s office, investigators responded to the scene to start processing for evidence.
