Injured man arrives at Lynchburg ER overnight after shooting on Garland Street, police say

LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) – A malicious wounding investigation is underway in Lynchburg after an injured man arrived at the hospital overnight following a shooting.

According to the Lynchburg Police Department, a man walked into the Lynchburg General Emergency Room with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14.

After police went to the hospital to speak with the victim, they determined the shooting took place in the 800 block of Garland Street. 

If your security or doorbell camera may have captured video of the shooting, you are asked to contact the Lynchburg Police Department at 434-455-6065 or share the footage on the Neighbors portal. You can also share the footage anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
