BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — A high-speed chase in Bedford County ended with a car crashing and five people being sent to the hospital in Roanoke.

The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office says the chase started at 3 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 24 in the Goodview area. That’s when a deputy says a car passed by in the area of 15818 Stewartsville Road traveling at 90 plus speeds.

The driver then tried to avoid the deputy but ended up crashing at Goodview Road and Goodview Town Road. The car then rolled over, a female was thrown from the car, and the driver was partially ejected.

Deputies tell WFXR News that a total of five people from Pennsylvania in the car were taken to the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Deputies say the driver — Patrick Leblanc, 25, from Thompson, Pa. — is facing reckless driving and felony eluding law enforcement charges.
