HARDY, Va. (WFXR) — The Bedford County community is coming together to support a volunteer fire chief after he was seriously injured in an incident involving an ATV over the weekend.

According to the Hardy Volunteer Fire Company, Chief John Foli was in an ATV accident on Saturday, Sept. 4.

The fire company announced on Sunday, Sept. 5 that Foli was in critical but stable condition.

However, as of Monday, Sept. 6, fire officials say Foli is “continuing to improve every second!”

According to Roanoke Emergency Medical Services, Inc., there is a fund set up to support Foli; his wife, Tiffany, who works with the Stewartsville Volunteer Rescue Squad; and the rest of their family on GiveSendGo.
