Four injured, two airlifted after head-on crash in Bedford Saturday morning

BEDFORD, Va. (WFXR) — A head-on collision in Bedford County early Saturday morning resulted in multiple injuries.

Accord to the Bedford Fire Department, crews were dispatched around 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 22 for a crash in the 2300 block of Moneta Road.

When crews arrived, they found two vehicles with heavy front-end damage with the occupants of the vehicles still inside of one of the vehicles involved.

A total of four people were injured, two of whom were air-lifted from the scene.

The other two patients were transported by ground.

There is no update on the condition of any of the people injured.

Virginia State Police is investigating the crash.
