(WFXR) — First responders around Bedford County and Campbell County had a busy weekend as a number of crashes in central Virginia left several people injured.

According to the Brookville-Timberlake Volunteer Fire Department, crews were called out to Waterlick Road on Saturday, Oct. 23 for a multi-vehicle crash with entrapment.

When units arrived at the scene, fire officials say they found three heavily-damaged vehicles, with one vehicle overturned and two people trapped in two vehicles.

Neither the Brookville Volunteer Fire Department nor the Forest Fire Department mentioned whether anyone was injured in the wreck.

Later on — according to a Facebook post from the Forest Fire Department just after 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 24 — crews responded to a two-vehicle crash with multiple people injured at the intersection of Forest Road and Enterprise Drive.

The department says three people were brought to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Then, the Concord Volunteer Fire Department posted on Facebook shortly before 10:30 a.m. on Sunday that units were dispatched to Eastbrook Road at the train trestle for a single-vehicle wreck.

When personnel arrived at the scene, they found a pickup truck on its roof up against some trees — as seen in the pictures shared by the department — and one person who was injured. There is no word on that person’s condition at this time.
