UPDATE: One airlifted to hospital after partially ejected, trapped in vehicle in Forest

UPDATE 8:42 a.m.: The Forest Volunteer Fire Department says a person was airlifted to a local hospital after being partially ejected from a car early Wednesday morning.

According to the department, when crews arrived at the scene of the Blackwater Road crash with reported entrapment, they found a heavily damaged car and a person half-ejected yet half-trapped inside the car.

First responders worked to free the patient before Centra 1 flew them to the hospital.

FOREST, Va. (WFXR) — First responders in Forest were out early Wednesday morning after a crash resulted in at least one person being trapped inside a car.

The Forest Volunteer Fire Department tweeted shortly after 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10 that crews were working on a single-vehicle crash with “heavy entrapment” along Blackwater Road.

The department also said that Centra 1 was requested for air transport.

There is no word on how many people were trapped inside the vehicle or their condition at this time.

However, Forest fire officials posted some pictures of a seriously crushed car 10 minutes after posting their original tweet about the crash.
