LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Looking for a new feline friend? Wednesday is the perfect time to take one home from the Lynchburg Humane Society because it’s “Fee Waived Wednesday!”
On Wednesday, July 14, you can take home cats and kittens from the Lynchburg Humane Society without paying any adoption fee. However, there will still be a $10 microchip fee in order to make sure you can track down your new friend in case they get lost.
This news comes after the humane society announced that there were 445 cats and kittens in the center on Thursday, July 8 amid concerns of Coccidiosis.
However, thanks to community support, 51 cats were sent into foster homes and 69 cats were adopted from the shelter over the weekend.
If you want to meet any of the hundreds of furry friends looking for new homes, swing by the Lynchburg Humane Society. You can also email the adoptions team at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
