Driver shortage leads to Tuesday school bus cancellations in Bedford County

BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Bedford County Public Schools says that five buses will not be running on Tuesday due to a driver shortage, an issue that has impacted the district since last Wednesday.

According to Bedford County school officials, the following buses will not operate on Tuesday, Jan. 11:

  • Bus 86: Morning and afternoon runs for Goodview Elementary School, Staunton River Middle School, and Staunton River High School
  • Bus 110: Morning and afternoon runs for Bedford Primary School, Bedford Elementary School, Liberty Middle School, and Liberty High School
  • Bus 173: Morning and afternoon runs for Bedford Primary School and Bedford Elementary School
  • Bus 202: Morning and afternoon runs for Goodview Elementary School, Staunton River Middle School, and Staunton River High School
  • Bus 215: Morning and afternoon runs for Stewartsville Elementary School, Staunton River Middle School, and Staunton River High School

The district says bus 86 and bus 173 will probably be canceled all week.
