CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects caught on camera burglarizing a car wash, after the incident the car used to flee the scene was found on fire.

Deputies say the the incident took place on Tuesday Oct. 18 between the hours of 12:44 a.m. and 1:13 a.m. on Wednesday at the Five Flags Car Wash located in the 452 block of Lusardi Drive. Authorities report that two suspects broke into a utility room, took an undisclosed amount of cash and caused significant damage to the building and equipment. After the burglary deputies report the two suspects got into a red 2008 Lincoln NKX that was stolen during another burglary from the Hurt area of Pittsylvania County and left the scene.

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office says at approximately 1:40 p.m. a call came in about a vehicle fire in the Seneca area of the county along the railroad tracks. The vehicle that was on fire was identified as the same vehicle caught on camera at the car wash burglary.

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office says the suspects are described as:

  • Suspect 1 (White male with a thin build): Dressed in a burgundy or dark shirt, camouflage pants, mask and a ball cap. Had a handgun on his right side.
  • Suspect 2 (White female with an average build): Dressed in a gray pullover and pants, stocking cap, mask and knee high rubber boots.
