UPDATE: Missing Bedford County senior located

UPDATE 8:00 p.m.: The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Lynn McGhee, the missing senior, has been located and he is said to be doing well.


BEDFORD COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) – The Bedford County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating a missing senior.

On Monday morning around 11:15 a.m., the Bedford County Emergency Communications Center received a call from Adult Services about the missing man who has been identified as Lynn McGhee, a 76-year-old white male who stands five-foot-nine-inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, has long hair, a gray beard and a mustache.

He was last seen on Monday, July 19 at 4:30 p.m. outside of his residence in the 1200 block of Lost Trail Road in Montvale, wearing a t-shirt and blue jeans.

Authorities are working with multiple agencies to locate the missing man.
