UPDATE 8:06 a.m.: VDOT says that crews have reopened all lanes and shoulders along U.S. Route 460 following Thursday morning’s tractor-trailer crash in Appomattox County.

APPOMATTOX COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Several lane and shoulder closures are in place along U.S. Route 460 Thursday morning while Appomattox County first responders handle a tractor-trailer crash.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the westbound left shoulder and the eastbound left shoulder, left lane, and right shoulder are closed along U.S. Route 460 near Little Dogwood Road, Route 647, Tonawanda Lake Road, and Spout Spring Road.

While there is no word any backups resulting from this crash, VDOT says motorists should expect delays in the area.

In addition, the Appomattox Volunteer Fire Department says the foggy conditions make it harder to see emergency vehicles along the road, so slow down and use caution if you plan on driving along this stretch of U.S. Route 460.
