LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — Court documents indicate that the 16-year-old boy who was shot and killed on Thursday, March 23 may have been murdered.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of 16th Street and Taylor Street in Lynchburg.

Lynchburg police have issued search warrants for the vehicle the boy was driving during the time of the shooting. The warrants say the search may be related to the use of a firearm, shooting at a vehicle, and murder.
