BEDFORD, Va. (WFXR) — After Cop Camp got canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, members of the Bedford Police Department shared their excitement Monday morning about the camp’s return this July.

Police in Bedford say they will hold the camp from July 5 through July 9.

The department will partner with Thomas Road Outpost in Bedford County in order to make sure Cop Camp can be an outdoor event.

“We are extremely excited for the kids in our community, who are between the ages of 9 to 14, to spend a week and get to know the police officers who serve them and our community,” the Bedford Police Department said.

As of Monday, May 3, officials say applications are being accepted for the camp at the police department. You can also email police@bedfordva.gov and request an application.
