Concord Volunteer Fire Department and VSP investigate after car ends up on train tracks

CONCORD, Va. (WFXR) — Concord Volunteer Fire Department is working with Virginia State Police to figure out how a car ended up on the railroad tracks.

Crews were called out to the area on Thursday, Aug. 27. When they arrived they found the car on the edge of the tracks as a train was approaching. The train was able to stop in time all thanks to the communication between the crews on scene and CSX.

There is no word on the driver. This incident remains under investigation.
