UPDATE 11:47 a.m.: VDOT says crews have cleared the scene of Friday morning’s tractor-trailer crash and reopened all westbound lanes on U.S. Route 460 in Campbell County.
UPDATE: 8:18 a.m.: Concord Volunteer Fire Department shared additional details about the tractor-trailer crash causing closures on U.S. Route 460 West on Friday morning.
According to the department, two vehicles were involved in the crash, but no injuries. In addition, despite initial reports of possible entrapment, fire officials say nobody was trapped from the crash.
Meanwhile, VDOT says the westbound right lane and right shoulder are still closed at this time, delaying traffic for two miles along U.S. Route 460.
CAMPBELL COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — Campbell County commuters are delayed for miles Friday morning due to a tractor-trailer crash with possible entrapment on U.S. Route 460 West.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the westbound left shoulder, right lane, and right shoulder are closed on U.S. Route 460 near Route 662.
Meanwhile, the Concord Volunteer Fire Department says crews are at the scene of the crash on U.S. Route 460 West near Thomas Terrace. Fire officials ask motorists to use caution in the area.
