LYNCHBURG, Va. (WFXR) — The City of Lynchburg will start its loose leaf collection on Monday, Oct. 31.

According to city officials, residents who would like leaves taken from their yards should rake the leaves curbside.

They are specifically requesting residents to not rake them into the street, and also ask that the leaf piles be free of any sticks, rocks, and pine cones.

Residents can also place bagged leaves curbside for pickup for regular trash collection, but Lynchburg is requiring residents to use prepaid City of Lynchburg Blue Bags to do so.

Officials say dedicated the Ward leaf collection will begin on Monday, Nov. 28.
